For my Fellow Knitters!
I was going through my old stash of catalogs and I found this Anthopologie one for Christmas 2004. I sort of feel the need to post some pictures because I have friends that knit, and one in particular known for knitting sweater ornaments (Meglahtidon, that's you). So here we go!! (*coughcough* click on pictures to see them much bigger!!!!!)
Ok, so this one above isn't technically knitted, but you know... sewing. I love sewing. :D
And well... Although I would not torture my cute fuzzies with this stuff, I certainly is tempting!

One Bird in Hand... Two in a Tree? Uh...
Finally!
I've been productive in some manner. WHOO!!! I sort of went dumpster diving and found this shelf (ok, I didn't set out to go dumpster diving... but I saw it, and I had been wanting a new shelf thingy, so I snatched it up)
Sorry, I didn't feel like rotated in picture. Anyway, here's a before!
And the below is after a bunch of spray paint and acrylic paint!!!! (oh, P.S. Click on any photo to see it much bigger)

Glory Days of the Past: part III
Glory Days of the Past: part II
Ok... So I took a Fibers Arts class... and the two major projects of this class was a weaving assignment and a felted project. Afterwards, I had them entered into the Student Juried Art Exhibition. Both pieces got accepted to show, and I even won an award! GO ME!!!
In case you can't tell, the top piece is the woven assignment, and the bottom piece was the felted. You remember when I said that I am slightly obsessed with fashion, and that means that almost everything I make is in some way wearable. So.... The woven piece is a necklace of sorts, inspired by H.R. Giger's work. The felted piece is a a "tool belt" of sorts, and has several pockets for specific purposes, such as holding pencils (rather than forgetting about them in my back jean pocket, and then sitting...)

Glory Days of the Past: part I
Ok, so I created this blog quite a long time ago with this delusions of grandeur, to show off all my work that I create just because I wanted to. And..... I don't. Psh! Why am I not surprised? Anyway, I haven't been the most productive lately, so I figured I just start off with some older stuff to get the ball rolling. Here is my first offering to start as post numero uno! This was my senior year fashion show collection, shown in the Spring of 2007. I won two awards; "Best Pattering of an Original Design" (quite a mouthful!) and "Designer of the Year."
Technical info: All patterns were drafted directly from each model's measurements. All pleating was done by me, all appliques were done by me, the masks were made of plaster bandages and I made them in an art class my last semester. And if you were curious at all, the musical selection for the models to strut their stuff was by Skinny Puppy, entitle "Immortal." Ok, here we go!
